Geocache Description:

A nice Campbell city park! Get a little education about those strange ponds that seem to be all around Cambell. Bring the kids to see the ducks and geese that are usually in residence. This is a relatively easy multi-cache even for a beginner. All waypoints are in one area, no driving. The terrain is mostly flat and is wheelchair accessible. Besides your GPS, you may want to bring paper and pencil.

Originally hidden on April 5, 2002, this cache has gone missing and been replaced many times. The cache was the first cache that Joani and I found, and we have agreed to adopt it. The cache is hidden in a new location now and should remain there a while as long as you watch out for geomuggles when retrieving and replacing the cache. Your adventure starts here, where ours did:

Waypoint #1 N37 16.734 W121 56.448
Count the number of the following letters on the sign and substitute the number totals for the letters into the Waypoint #2 location as follows:

A=the sum of the number of "E's" plus the number of "L's" plus the number of "R's".
B=the sum of the number of "I's" plus the number of "T's".
C=the sum of the number of "B's" plus the number of "C's" plus the number of "Y's".

Waypoint #2 N37 16.A1B W121 56.CB8

Waypoint #3 N37 16.769 W121 56.512
Find the numerical day on which this park was dedicated, multiply that number by 3, and add 1 to that number. The sum equals "DD" for Waypoint #4. Find the numberical month that the park was dedicated (January = 1, December =12) and substitute that number for "E" in Waypoint #4.

Waypoint #4 N37 16.7DD W121 56.E03
This inspiration point was named after an individual. Count the letters in his last name and subtract 1 from the number. The remainder is equal to "F" for Waypoint #5. Count the number of letters in his first name and subtract 1 from the number. The remainder equals "G" for Waypoint #5.

Waypoint #5 N37 16.F1F W121 56.G02
Find the number of SOURCES from which the water to recharge these ponds ORIGINATES. Multiply this number by 2 and substitute this product for "Y" in Waypoint #6. Subtract 1 from "Y" and this number equals "Z" in Waypoint #6.

Waypoint #6 N37 16.XZY W121 56.Y5Z
Depending on the time of day and the day of the week, there may be foot traffic within sight of the final cache spot. Please be discrete when removing and replacing the cache to insure that you are not being spied upon. The cache is a on the small side so bring small items if you want to trade.
