Take Interstate 70 to the Claysville Exit, make a left onto Route
40, and then make a right onto Lake Road. Follow Lake Road to the
top of the hill until you see a small dirt parking area with a wide
trail that is blocked off. This is where you will begin your
adventure.
The cache is in a blue and clear tupperware container, of a
fairly large size. Take and exchange whatever you like, and write a
description of your trek in the logbook. Happy Geocaching!
When I was a kid, me and my buddies would slide down the
spillway all day long or until we wore the seat of our pants down
to nothing. Then, we'd go down to the bottom of the spillway and
fish. This is where I caught my first carp.
Fishing is open to the whole lake and the creek down below the
spillway. You can actually watch the carp swim right past you.
On a recent trip out to the cache, the wildlife was abundant.
There were 2 pairs of Canadian Geese with 4 chicks each, a dozen or
so turkey opposite the spillway, all sorts of birds in the air, and
a few carp jumping. Make sure you keep a watchful eye when you
visit this cache!
I have now replaced the tupperware which a clear gallon plastic jug
and restocked with new swags and new logbook. The container has
been moved downhill by another cacher and i feel that it safer here
and will leave here.As always enjoy your geocaching adventures
while you are here.
