You are almost guaranteed to have this spectacular trail to yourself. Everyone usually forgets it’s there. This short (maybe 2 mile) loop has spectacular views of the coastal terraces, but may be a little overgrown. Watch for ticks!
Do your homework for this cache. Please obey trail closures, and do not make volunteer trails around them. To get to this cache you could take the trail way up and around, but that would take forever, and you just need to get right over there. Hmmm…Is there another short, legal way to get there?
The cache is a rectangular Tupperware container. Inside, among the other goodies, is a disposable camera. Use it to take a picture of you finding the cache. Bonus points for the oddest (but still ‘show-to-your-grandma’ appropriate) picture.
Tread lightly in the cache area. Cover any noticeable tracks, and leave the area less disturbed then when you found it.
Cache is children and Mountain Bike friendly. Just don’t go after sunset – they will ticket you.
EPE at the cache was 18 feet, coordinates averaged 1000 times (wow…that’s a lot).
5/13 - We added a few spoiler pictures. You may want to print them out, sight unseen, and bring them with you if you're stumped. Each gives exponentialy more information about the cache. Don't use them unless you really need to. For a virtual view of the general area go to: http://www.virtualparks.org/scenes/ZIRGqnVaS3ZbAdFBIkR1WEw.htm
Everyone is finding ticks on the trail, but how many can YOU find? Can you get the record? Have fun!
