There's lots of history at the location of the cache. Originally
I included a few pages of historical information, but there is now
a historical area at the park with the same information, so be sure
to visit and check out this interesting piece of critical WWII
history!
NOTE: This cache was originally placed in 2002. In 2007, the
original cache was washed away in a storm, and it's hiding spot was
permanently destroyed. Facing reconstruction of the sea wall in
which the cache was originally hidden, the cache has been re-hidden
to a nearby location in the same park.
The new cache has some cool toys in it and a new log book. Let's
keep this thing going now for the summer season on Portland
Harbor!
