This one has it all, shade, flowing water, desert vistas, steep climbs, so bring your boots, camera, lunch and plenty of water.
Please feel free to treat this as a regular cache. There are plenty of prizes in the ammo can for Mom, Dad, or the kids. But I have also included 4 post cards with my address on them. To get to the trailhead, take Cave Creek Rd. till the pavement ends. Continue driving on 7.5 miles. This hike can be completed year round as it does have plenty of shade. But it will be a 9-10 mile hike so allow yourself time and bring plenty of water. You will also need $4.00 for parking at the trailhead. There is also camping available if you want to get an early start.
