The cache is stashed "in the rocks" a short scramble from the trail.
The main trail is wide, well-traveled, and off-leash-okay for dogs, but with some near-trail poison oak. The actual cache is located a little ways off the trail, and although there is no poison oak in the immediate vicinity, there may be a few stinging nettles!
Please note that although there is some fifth-class rockclimbing in the area, finding this cache does not require roped rockclimbing. You WILL need to use hands to scramble up, and the overgrown path to the cache can be a bit slippery.
If you have visited this classic cache previously, the old cache went missing in 2024. The new cache is about the size of a paperback book and has been placed in a slightly different location where it is less likely to be accidentally discovered.
