Stash County: Somerset

SORRY, THIS CACHE HAS BEEN REMOVED. The stash is located off Imgrund Mountain Road. To get there, take Route 30 to Reels Corners and turn south on Rt. 160 for 4 miles. Look for the blue farm silos and turn left. You'll need to go for about 2.7 miles to the powerline. A four wheel drive would be good in the winter for the last half mile, but parking along the road is available before you start down the hill.

A beautiful mile long walk along that powerline is your key. there is and old logging/hunting road that goes under the line and it's easy terrain. Kick on your GPS and you'll soon be heading in the right direction. You'll prpbably see lots of deer along this trail as you follow through the mountain laurel. The scenery just gets better and better as you go. When you hit the end of the road, you'll know it. The view is spectacular and it is stunningly quiet (except for maybe the far off sounds of the Pennsylvania Turnpike). If you go any further, you'll need a parachute. Who knows, on a crystal clear day, you may be able to see into Maryland and West Virginia!

I have never found a more perfect place for this white stash bucket. It's hidden in a tree stump that must have been made for it!

Good hunting! 12/7/02: Over the past year or two, this stash has had some damage to the white bucket we used to hide it in (hungry critters and such). Some good friends of mine graciously supplied me with a green ammo box to replace it with. Many thanks go to you previous visitors who helped to keep it intact for me until this replacement could be made.
