Geocache Description:

This cache(now a virtual) replaces Era Seeks original Dunlin Wings. Your total walk will be about 2 miles round trip and very relaxing. Having walked it myself even after the cache went missing, I knew right away this was a special place.

update 11.30.2003 Sadly I had to pull the cache, but!, there is a virtual here now.

This cache has several special features to it. It has, like many small airports, a unique café where you can sit and enjoy a meal while watching the airplanes come and go. The name of this café is Lana's Café and it will be your starting point.

It has a prime shorebird refuge area attached to it with one of the best boardwalks around. This really makes it a must do!

The new virtual is located at the permanently mounted spotting scope along the boardwalk for your free viewing pleasure at N46° 58.449 W123° 56.780 To log this cache as a find, email me with the Brand name of the spotting scope. It's on a label, on the side.

The first cache box was taken by a storm in the winter of 2001. But it's well worth replacing. And lastly I would like to thank Era Seek for letting me replace this cache. Once again geocachers can enjoy this spot.
