GPS stash located in the San Isabel National Forest in southern
Colorado. The coordinates are: 37 21.405 N 105 01.418 W Stash
hunters should drive to the Cordova pass campgrounds off state
highway 12. The stash is located near the end of the Vista trail,
which begins at the campground. The trail is a moderate .6 mile
hike, ending at an altitude of 11,400 ft. and a beautiful view of
the West Spanish Peak. Stash created by: Rob "Fishman" Garrison.
--- 8/5/2002 Update: Cache contents refreshed in late June with a
new container. Hopefully this one will stay dry, as long as no one
puts a can of Dr. Pepper in the cache just before first freeze.
I'll post new pictures as soon as I get them. --- 9/19/2006 Update:
Contents checked by my brother and sister-in-law. Everything is
still in good shape, but no camera. Lots of great log entries. ---
6/18/2009 Update: Cache visited by my father-in-law, he said it was
in great shape. He said the container was getting a little full, so
anyone who wants to contribute a new container it would be
appreciated. It needs to be sturdy due to the winter at high
altitude.

October 15 by carolandbill (11 found) Nice hike. We have been over Cordova Pass numerous times over the years, but this is the first time we have geocached up there. The hike wasn't bad and the dogs loved it.

| September 20 by uuesley (1874 found) Found: We were surprised to see as much snow as we did, on the road up and trail. Got some good pics at the top, and we were glad we had brought jackets, cause brrr was it chilly up there. Thanks for bringing us to an area we would have probably never visited.
[view this log] | September 19 by ZROZRO7 (6740 found) 4:34 PM This was an great cache to find, this afternoon, even with the cold and snow, or sleet, or hail, or whatever it was, and the dead battery and all! I was on a caching trip with BliminOnion. See her log for all the good stuff.TN. I dropped off 'Central Ontario Geocachers 2009 Geocoin' and I left my card. SL. TFTC!!
[view this log] | September 19 by BliminOnion (2624 found) Was 1 of 11 finds for me while caching with ZROZRO7 in Colorado today. This was the second time I've been to this cache. I was here in July '06 with Twinjayhawks when I was a muggle so knew exactly where to go. This turned out to be quite the trip there and back. As it was thundering and raining nearby we decided, thankfully, to take our umbrellas. It sleeted a bit as we were opening the container, so we decided to make a fast exit from there. However, it was not fast enough. It started sleeting really hard so we opened our umbrellas but it really hurt my hand that was exposed because I was using my walking cane. When we got to the Jeep it wouldn't start. We got help from some really nice camping folk. Our hope was getting back to the highway before it began to rain because the road would be muddy. Everything turned out OK. SL TFTC!

| September 17 by COpackrat (6117 found) Not much of a view today - everything was still socked in, but occasionally would clear enough to see some fresh snow on the peaks, and there were white patches amongst the trees. TFTC
