Geocache Description:

Cache is located near Dan’s Pulpit in Pennsylvania State Game Land No. 106. The location is named in honor of Congressman Daniel K. Hoch (1866-1960), who was also President of the Blue Mountain Eagle Climbing Club. Dan Hoch conducted Sunday services at this location. Those who hike the Appalachian Trail may like to check out "Historical Society of Berks County" site at http://www.berksweb.com/histsoc/articles/trail.html for more information.

  • Cache is an ammo can
  • There are several possible routes to the caches. One possible was is to park off Hawk Mountain Road at N 40º38.009’, W075º57.647’.
  • The State Game Lands (SGL) 106 map, sheet 1 of 2 covers this area, and is available at many sporting good stores in the area. A free PDF download of this SGL map, and most Pennsylvania SGLs maps, is available at http://sites.state.pa.us/PA_Exec/PGC/SGL/region.htm. SGL 106 is in the Southeast Region, Berks, Lehigh, and Schuykill counties.
