Before Col. Bogey can return, it will be moved to allow a greater margin of error before reaching the boundary of public property. The adjacent land owners are NOT, repeat NOT happy to see you on their land. Use fresh batteries and be sure you do not leave public property. This is a very high traffic area at times so please be very cautious as you approach the cache.
If you are an old movie or music buff, you may get the connection to this cache's name. If not, don't fret.
This feature was fully operational just twenty-five years ago and I have used it many times. When it was replaced, an english nobleman restored it and gave it to the county as a park. The area suffered a dramatic flood in 1996 and it was almost lost. It is hard to believe when you look at it now that it was under water.
In direct contrast to most of my other caches, this one has no bushwacking needed. In fact, it is almost a drive-up cache. I don't think that will detract from the fun though. It is still going to take some effort to find.
Parking is available at 41*36.420N/088*.33.761W.
Welcome to another Jewel of Kendall County. This cache is number seven in my Kendall County Jewels series. I have lived within this county most of my life and played in these places as a child. This is my way of showing off a beautiful part of America.
