Difficulty - 2 due to it's about a 2/3rd mile hike from the closest parking spot for a car (a 4WD could get to within 100 ft
Terrain - 2 it's not hard to get there,
but there's a few brambles to climb through at the end. And a little rock
scrambling. You can definitely bring the kids. But it's not a quick hike,
anywhere from a 1.5 to 2 mile hike roundtrip, depending on where you start
from
Placed this cache this morning. Right before the big blizzard (which is probably
going to miss Boston). It's under some powerlines. In a fairly accessible
area. There are several ways to get into this cache, from the South, East,
and North. Make sure you wear bright clothing during hunting season, there
is hunting in the area. The cache is a Kelloggs cereal jug, with about a 4
inch lid, so CDs don't fit in this cache. There are lots of goodies in here,
for grownups and kids. This is a camera cache. So take the camera out, snap
a photo of yourself, then put it back. There are a lot of other goodies to
start this stash. Among them, a special Matchbox fire engine from Scient that says "We're on fire!", a mini Etch-a-Sketch, a tin of Altoids,
several Balance Bars, a bone shaped dog cookie cutter, and a Campagnolo seatpost, the real prize
It's hidden pretty well, in a nook, or cranny, not sure what the difference
is. There is nothing piled on top of it, but it's out of direct sunlight.
