Geocache Description:

A cache for dogs.

Zoe loves going geocaching with her human, but when they open up the cache, normally there are only trinkets for Zoe's human and none for Zoe. After getting disappointed many times, Zoe came up with a great idea ......

This is a dog theme cache for all those geocaching dogs out there. Please trade dog oriented items to keep the dog theme going, but this is not mandatory.

Please take a picture of your dog with the camera (if you are dogless, a photo of yourself is ok, too) showing what you took and what you left. When you sign the logbook, please indicate if you came with your dog and your dog's name.

The cache is located at the county park with an off leash dog park. Parking is $6 if you enter at N37° 17.113' / W121° 48.704'. Parking is free if you enter at N37° 17.384' / W121° 48.674'. Dog park at N37° 17.256' / W121° 48.637'. Park is open from 8am to sunset. Dog park is closed on Wednesdays. Location of the cache is in open view, though the people around will most likely be too busy paying attention to other things. No need to dig through poison oak to get to the cache. Cache is dog (obviously), bike, kid, and wheelchair friendly.

The cache is in a 10" x 10" x 3" rectangular clear rubbermaid container with camo tape on the lid. Initial contents included:

Various rawhide chew toys and treats for dogs of all sizes
Medium sized rubber frisbee
Dog picture frame
Plastic dog figure
Treat waist pack
Pencil with dogs
Dog bone keychains (2)

Geocache note
Logbook and pens
Single use camera

Pictures from the first camera can be viewed here.

1/15/2005 update - Changed the cache container to a smaller one, 4.5" x 4.5" x 7", and camoflauged as the bigger one was plundered and difficult to hide. Replaced cache contains new logbook, geocache note, pens, and dog themed trinkets, but no camera since there is little room in the container.

2/7/2014 update - Changed the cache container to a smaller cylindrical one, 4" diameter x 5" high, and covered camo tape. Replaced cache contains new logbook, geocache note, pen, and dog themed trinkets.
