Die Webcam befindet sich auf dem Donauturm und liefert Bilder von einem großen Teil der Stadt.
The webcam is located at the "Donauturm" (Danube Tower) and shows a big area of Vienna.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel/Public transport:: Alte Donau -> Bus 20B Suche Dir einen beliebigen Standort aus, der von der Kamera eingefangen werden kann. Beispielsweise das im rechten Bild dargestellte Blumenbeet im Donaupark. Die Headerkoordinaten zeigen in dieses Beet, es können aber beliebige andere Standorte gewählt werden. Bei maximalem Zoom sind gute Bilder möglich. Beachtet, daß in den bewohnten Gebieten der Zoom eingeschränkt ist. The header coordinates points in this bed but you may choose any other location you like. With maximum zoom you will get good pictures. Note that in the inhabited areas the zoomlevel is reduced. Um diesen Cache zu loggen muß Du:
1) ein Webcam-Foto von Dir machen (lassen), auf dem Du eindeutig als Geocacher erkennbar bist
2) dieses Foto bei Deinem Found-Log anhängen.
+) wenn möglich, poste auch das Übersichtsbild, damit man sieht, an welcher Stelle das Bild aufgenommen ist.

Um ein brauchbares, scharfes Bild zu bekommen, solltest Du folgende Hinweise beachten:
* starke Kontraste (z.B. heller Weg und dunkle Wiese) erleichtern dem Autofokus die Arbeit
* gute Beleuchtung (wenn möglich in die Sonne stellen)
* geringe Distanz zur Kamera (je näher Du zum Turm stehst, desto besser werden die Bilder)
* sollte die Schärfe des Bildes nicht ausreichend sein, klicke nochmals auf das "+" unter dem Zoom-Schieberegler. Dadurch wird ein neues Bild der gleichen Stelle erzeugt, das dann hoffentlich besser ist.
Logs, auf denen die Person/en nicht erkennbar sind, werden wieder gelöscht!

To log this cache you have to:
1) make a webcam-picture of yourself showing that you are a geocacher
2) provide this foto with your found-log
+) if possible, provide also the overview picture so one can see, where you were standing while taking the picture

In order to get an usable, sharp picture pay attention to the following points:
* high contrasts (e.g. light path and dark meadow) makes the autofocus working better
* good illumination (e.g. in the sun)
* short distance to the camera (the closer you are standing to the tower, the better the pictures are)
* if the sharpness isn't good enough, click on the "+" under the zoomlevel-slider to force a new (hopefully better) picture
I'll delete logs, where the person/s is/are not recognizable!

November 18 by BakaGaijin (201 found) TFTC#186 Kaum zu glauben, nach 27 Jahren in Wien war es heute der erste Besuch im Donaupark... Die Qualität des Fotos ist echt nicht berauschend. Teil ist glaube ich das Gegenlicht schuld, die Sonne hängte gerade schon recht tief im Westen, teils ist die Person, die am Computer war, kein Computerfreak, und fühlte sich schon mit einem Klick auf einen vorbereiten Link und anschließendem Abspeichern ziemlich überfordert. I made a phonecall home to my Dad to ask him to open the link to the webcam i sent him in the email this morning. We made our way to the tower and phoned him back.
