Geocache Description:

After the twister, where did the remains of Auntie Em’s & Uncle Henry’s farm end up? I think I know, and soon you will too. It sure isn’t Kansas!

Finding the two (2) Caches in this multi-stage adventure will give you a wonderful tour of Grant Park. The first stage cache will be found at the coordinates above. It contains hints and coordinates for the second stage. Bring Toto too. Toto too? Yes Toto too! (sorry, I digress). Doggies on leash are welcome!

This cache is located in an “emerald” of a park near Centerville. Grant Park is a 187-acre natural area owned and operated by the Centerville-Washington Township Park District. From 1930-1963, the park area was the site of Normandy Farms, owned by Richard H. Grant. The trails in the park lead along Hole’s Creek, and through meadows, woods and prairie habitats. There are also relics from past life at Normandy Farms such as McEwen Barn, and the “chimneys” of the remains of Richard Grant’s weekend cabin. The park is home to numerous species of wildlife including deer and a diverse bird population. Portions of the park are “resting.” Please do not enter these areas. You do not have to enter any “resting” areas of the park to secure this cache’. It would also be appreciated if you would “cache in & trash out” when you visit.

Directions: The recommended parking area is at Normandy Elementary School (N 39°38.496' - W084°10.346'). Take Miamisburg – Centerville Rd (SR 725) or Alex Bell Pike to Paragon Rd. Turn onto Normandy Ridge Rd at the “T” intersection and proceed to the school.
