It's near Grayson, GA. New (8/19/01) TEN gallon screw top white bucket buried. It floats during heavy rain.

While seeking, you are NOT tresspassing. It is hidden on the common area of the homeowners BUT, you are a guest of a homeowner, ME. Don't worry about being close to the fence, the homeowner isn't a muggle, and doesn't mind at all. The beavers are back! AND they re-built the dam! They CHEW THE FENCE!! The wire with yellow insulators is a HOTWIRE. DON'T TOUCH IT!

Good news! The beavers have rebuilt their dam. They also like to CHEW THE FENCE!! The wire with yellow insulators is a HOTWIRE. DON'T TOUCH IT!!!!
It's worth the hunt, because the lake is very pretty.
I try, but it's hard to keep the blackberry briers cut down - be careful, they can poke holes in you. Picture of the cache

Happy hunting.

Cool!

Finally made the pilgrimage to this hallowed ground after much waiting. Between the drizzles, I saw much wildlife - herd of ducks, a big yeller dawg, a big fish, a much bigger snake, an injured wren and more. I was very pleased with this awesome cache as evidenced by my skipping out of the area on my way back to the truck.

Cheers, Johann Panholtz

I finally got around to visiting the oldest cache in my state. I had done the ones in AL and TN. It's great that the folks here have allowed it to stay. Thanks for the cache! #6735 ((()))

100th Find!! Don't say it, we were kinda going for that easy guarantee of a find. Quick outing with the kids to find some "treasure in the woods" and stretch their legs. Until mid-October remember the deet. TFTC. Left 3 small toys, took Taco Bell toy. SL.

Ran by this one on our way home from Salem, MO to Columbia, SC. Trying to hit a number of different things on the way through. Adding one of the oldest active caches and GA's oldest cache to our list was just an honor. Thanks for keeping this cache up and running!! Oh - nobody mentioned the wonderful guardian of the cache! He wants some loving from anybody visiting!!

My entire reason for caching today was to grab this "historic" cache. I was really excited to learn it was reasonably close to my home town. The setting is beautiful and it was exciting to add my name to the log. Thanks for keeping this one alive.
