It's near Grayson, GA. New (8/19/01) TEN gallon screw top white bucket buried. It floats during heavy rain.

While seeking, you are NOT tresspassing. It is hidden on the common area of the homeowners BUT, you are a guest of a homeowner, ME. Don't worry about being close to the fence, the homeowner isn't a muggle, and doesn't mind at all. The beavers are back! AND they re-built the dam! They CHEW THE FENCE!! The wire with yellow insulators is a HOTWIRE. DON'T TOUCH IT!

Good news! The beavers have rebuilt their dam. They also like to CHEW THE FENCE!! The wire with yellow insulators is a HOTWIRE. DON'T TOUCH IT!!!!
It's worth the hunt, because the lake is very pretty.
I try, but it's hard to keep the blackberry briers cut down - be careful, they can poke holes in you. Picture of the cache

Happy hunting.

I saw this cache a while back and it is very near where my brother lives, so when I got a chance to come visit, I wanted to come here and find this one. What a nice area for a cache, and sure was easy to spot! TFTC! S2Ls.

WF had picked this cache as our main objective for the day. We warmed up on a couple of other caches then headed over to get this one. I picked the long way in of course, but found the cache without any problems. The cache guardian (the dog, not the beavers) was doing his job trying to sound mean, but he looked more like he just wanted to play. Wish I had a tennis ball. Anyway, we found the cache without any problems, it's hard to miss. We looked at all the contents and the different logs and thought how cool it was to still be going strong. We proudly signed the log and returned everything to it's hiding spot. Left thinking about the history of this "game" and all the folks who had been here before us. Thanks for keeping this one alive!

This was the cache that I had planned my day around. We found a nice parking spot and headed off towards the cache. About 100 feet away we were greeted by an interested dog. While I was still looking for the cache, tiehack spotted it about 30 feet in front of me. Now that is a cache container. Thanks for a great cache find and the oldest cache I've found to date. Hope this one keeps going strong for many more years.

Wow found it! Little Guy was so excited to find it and trade in the goodies he brought with the ones he found. Left TB and took a new one. Signed log, hope we signed the right one, there seemed to be a few. TFTC

Wow. Oldest cache in Georgia. Great location and easily the largest cache that I have found. Interestingly I found the oldest cache in Virginia at exactly this time last January.
