High above the pools is the lonely pinnacle of Frenchman's nose: on its top lies the small cairn and beneath it the cache. An easy walk to the pools but the last scramble to the cache is very difficult.
Park the cars(ideally 4 WD but if you don't like your normal car you could take it)at N24 26.449 E046 40.704.
From here walk past the first pool and once you are at the second,top pool look for the lonely pinnacle above Frenchman's nose (well it looks a bit like a famous French General).
From the pool you can almost see where the cache is but beware the scramble up to it is not easy.
Ideally leave by the pool all:
Young children
Non-adventurous types
Anyone who does not have a head for hights
This cache is NOT for them as the last few feet to it are loose and take you out over some very large sheer drops.
It is dangerous so please take care - you have been warned and the M&Ms take no responsibility. It is called wounded knee for good reason!!!!
However once you get there finding the cache is easy. A small cairn marks its position.
