Fat Hilll Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Hemlock: It has come to my attention that this cache has been "converted" to a virtual cache. This cache was approved as a physical cache. When a cache box disappears the options are to archive the listing or to replace the box.

We were told quite firmly to "get the hell off this land".

Then again, maybe its not such a good idea for anyone to go there.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at hemlock@geocachingadmin.com or go to your cache page and email me via the link to my profile on the log entry. [red]Please be sure to include the cache name and GCxxxx number, or better yet, the URL of the cache page.[/red]

Thanks for the understanding.

Geocache Description:

Fat Hill aka Cerro Gordo is a wonderful place to visit steeped in mining history and offering outstanding vistas.

It's a long, steep drive up the hill to the cache. The road is dirt but easily driven in a 2wd car. Just go slowly and enjoy the amazing views as you climb. The cache is 3/4 of the way up the hill at a curve where there is limited parking. Let your vehicle rest as you snap pics of the scenery. After taking in the view, continue on up to the wonderful ghost town and say hello to John and Roxy. Accomodations are available-if you like sleeping in haunted rooms! A great weekend get-a-way! This is a virtual cache but for some reason I can't get it to put that in for type....
