This geocache is featured in the TidBITS article "Internet-Guided Offline Recreation (IGOR): Geocaching."
Twin Peaks: Go early in the day to avoid fog and wind. This hill is an excellent place to fly a kite, so, if you have one, bring it with you. You'll be out in the open, so wear sunscreen and bring a sunhat and water. Also, bring a sweater or jacket and a warm hat in case it gets cold, which it often does.
Getting there: You can park on the road or in the Twin Peaks vista parking lot and walk to the third hill (fairly easy), or you can walk up the staircases from Noe Valley or the Castro and climb up the trails (more strenuous). You can also take the 37-Corbett Muni bus to the eastern base of the Twin Peaks area and walk up the trails.
The geocache: The average-size container contains a logbook, pen, and goodies for you to admire and exchange.
Nearby geocaches: While you are here, hike to the top of South Peak, which is to your immediate north, across the road. There you'll find Scott Hassan's CityCache1_V2 (coordinates: N 37° 45.096, W 122° 26.845). Then continue to Novato Larry's City View, just northeast of the tourist parking lot (coordinates: N 37° 45.285 W 122° 26.819).
