Geocache Description:

Not a particularly difficult hiding place, the hurdle for this cache is getting there.

Cane Bayou is a beautiful Louisiana waterway passing through hardwood forests and brackish marshes, ending in Lake Pontchartrain. This is a great place for bird watchers and anglers. Also, as with most slow moving Louisiana waterways, you may have the chance to see some large reptiles. After a rather large and loud splash ahead of us (that was no fish!), we decided to turn back just before reaching the lake.

The launch is not all that big, and some of the waterways are on the small side. Don't know if you guys with the big boats can do this. I've seen several flat boats out here, but nothing much bigger than that.

New cache container is a camo'ed ammo can. It is tied down, so hopefully this one wont float away.
