the signpost to North Ledge 2.6km and follow main track to the T

becomes a rating of 3 if its dry and 4 if wet from this point on.
Fitness fans can park at North Ledge and hike and those

December 30, 2009 by squid_59 (81 found) Third find for the day - what a location!!! Don't head in here unless you have long trousers and stury footwear. Involved a lot of bashing through the bush, down rocks etc to the point where we nearly gave up. Hot as anything down in the valley even though it was only 25C back at the car. GZ had not been visited for sometime and was well covered with prickly bush, a final barrier to recovery. The tracks have changed since the original description and you can no longer get as close even in a 4WD. Nice walk down what is now a mountain bike track gets you close for the final scramble down to the waterfall. Recovered the butterfly TB which needs to be moving on in its travels. TFTC - this one really was a challenge.

August 29, 2009 by AusTrackers (1276 found) Tackled this one from the road by the pipeline and worked our way up and across the hill. The going wasn't too bad. Roraz was the first to spot the cache. Signed the log and then enjoyed the sight and sound of the waterfall. Thanks MAD106.

August 8, 2009 by AlliedOz (388 found) Found it, Whew! what a drama this cache turned out to be...Yesterday we did North Ledge Cache 21 and with time ticking away we drove down the track a bit then stopped and walked a while then with the Garmin showing only around 250 meters away we decided to just test the bush, well, it was so darn thick we turned around and headed out once we realised there was no time left and we had to leave shortly to pick up the kids, only to discover once back on the track catching our breath that part of the GPS had been lost, in effect sticking it on this cache. With no time to look and the bush was 5 stars where we tried to push through for 100 meters plus the chance of finding something the size of a 20 cent piece was looking like the impossible. So after getting home and ringing around I'm now waiting for the part. The next day (Today) I was wanting to do a cache and as the GPS was still locked and pointing to Rock'n Round Mundaring I loaded up google earth, spotted an alternative route to bush bashing and headed out. Phew that last 80 so meters was just as bad as yesterdays efforts, It was thick down at the GZ and all the recent rain has the grasses in full force making it pot luck when you placed your foot down as to solid ground or a rolling rock, also lots of water running in the creek. TFTC 4 stars and i felt every one of them Loved it! AlliedOz aka The Jokers
