This cache has been archived.

Lyra: Appears to be missing. I thought I'd archived this one a while back, but I obviously didn't. Now, it's done. Sorry!

Geocache Description:

Piggyback micro cache located near Lyra's Lair 1.

Thought I'd add a little more search time to my first cache, Lyra's Lair 1, located in the J. Frank Wilson Memorial Park in Martinsville, Virginia. This micro is located on the other side of the same park. For parking instructions, see the site for that cache: (visit link)

Updated 9/9/02: Lyra's Lair 1 has been archived due to an apparent discovery by muggles. You can still visit the page to read the logs, however, by clicking the link above. Look for a replacement cache for Lyra's Lair 1 coming soon!
-------------
Updated 10/2/02: Lyra's Lair 1A has been placed in the same park to replace the now-defunct Lyra's Lair 1. Cache description page is at: (visit link)
-------------

This is a 35mm black film canister which originally contained log book and 3 wheresgeorge $1 bills. You'll need to bring your own pen/pencil for this one, as the cache is too small to store one.

This is a public park, but isn't usually too crowded. If it is, though, please be discreet!

Hint is a dead giveaway spoiler, but it'll probably be needed in order make a find once you get to the cache site.

Additional Hints (Encrypt)

As you enter the park from the main entrance, follow the paved path toward Shelter number two, then bear left following the path over the bridge. The cache is located in a tree stump approximately seventy feet up the hill off the left side of the roadway. It's located in a small hole in the bottom of a tree stump, next to my GPSr shown in the spoiler picture. You'll have to remove a piece of bark from the hole and you should be able to see it immediately.
