Visit Las Huertas Overlook details at the DGP

Short hike through an area filled with cross-country ski trails. Cache is hidden near a look-out above Las Huertas Canyon.

If you live in Albuqueque, enjoy the SNOW, and like to PLAY, you may have been to this AREA.

Park at N 35 13.031, W 106 24.974. The cache is about a mile's walk over flat ground. You can cover the entire distance on pavement and cross-country ski trails.

There are many intersecting trails, so you may want to follow these waypoints along the way: (1) N 35 13.222, W 106 25.108; (2) N 35 13.325, W 106 25.213, (3) N 35 13.315, W 106 25.323.

The final trail that you travel ends at a triangular wooden fence. There is an awesome view of Las Huertas Canyon from this spot. The cache is hidden very nearby.

I got to the cache as the rain started falling. I followed the trails to a tee today thanks to your waypoints. I think I'm finally figuring out how to stay on the trails. Thanks for the cache.
