Geocache Description:

This is a traditional cache hidden in Veterans Park in Lexington, KY. The cache is in a Rubbermaid container with a camouflaged lid.

Pratum was moved 3/21/04 due to someone stealing the ammo can. I replaced it with a square rubbermaid container and moved it to a better hiding place. Oddly enough, they left some of the contents and fortunately the log book - I restocked the cache with a few new goodies, too.

Pratum is now fairly close to a grass trail and is no longer in the thorns. (EDIT: This is not true for summer. Right now, the cache is in some nasty thorns, and possibly poison ivy. BE CAREFUL!)

You should be able to get within about 100 feet of the cache on a trail, and you won't need to go through any thorns or brambles. Leaving the trail too soon may hurt if you hit brambles. You have been warned.

Park by the Southeastern Babe Ruth Complex in Veterans Park (signs in the park will direct you to it.) Starting from outside the park will involve trespassing.

This cache was placed with the permission of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government - Approval ID VP03

Pratum is Latin for “meadow”.
