Fallen Pine Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Far Star: Looks like Fallen Pine has gone missing again so I'm forced to archive it permanently. Too bad because it is a nice spot. Thanks to all who visited it and particularily to those who took the time to let me know it was gone. Happy caching to all.

Geocache Description:

A fairly easy hike along marked trails bordering Duffins Creek in the Greenwood Conservation Area north of Ajax, Ontario.

Take Westney Road north from Highway 401 and watch for the signs for the Greenwood Conservation Area, north of Taunton Rd. Follow the signs to the gate, noting the closing time. If it is not too close to closing time, go through the gate, keeping to the left and on to the parking lot. Below the lot is the sign for the Duffins Creek Trail. (Park outside the gate if closing time is near.)

Follow the trail markers. You will see a park bench to the right about 0.4 km past the wooden bridge.

The cache is a small green ammo box. It is well hidden about 15 metres off the trail. When hidden, the cache contained a rain poncho, magnifying glass, Garfield cards, glow stick, rawhide bone, dinosaur, bag of balloons, bag of marbles, a bag of odds and ends. Please sign the logbook.

The cache is fairly close to the trail, so some discretion is needed so as not to attract attention to it. Please cover the cache with pine bark when done.
