Geocache Description:

THIS IS AN AUSTRALIAN ONLY LOCATIONLESS CACHE. THE POSTED COORDINATES ARE OF THE MARKER TREE IN THE BLUE MTS. THIS LOCATION CAN BE REVISITED.

We all love to call Australia home, but in doing so we quickly loose sight of our pioneering forefathers, the men and woman who founded our great nation. These are the men and woman who we owe thanks to. These Aussie explorers set out on seemingly impossible treks/missions to find new land against all the odds and with little hope of success, but succeed they did and the rest is our history.

Along the way these explorers left us timely reminders of our yester-year. Things like the ‘Marker Tree’ in the Blue Mountains or the marker commemorating the start of Hamilton Hume’s walk to Port Phillip. Your mission is to find one of these markers or plaques reminding us of our pioneering forefathers.

To log a find against this cache you must post a photo of the reminder with your GPS in it. Give a brief description of the item and a link to a website explaining more about the Aussie explorer. An item can only be logged once, but an Aussie explorer can be logged more than once. Only 1 log per person. Obviously locations already logged on other caches should not be duplicated here.
