Geocache Description:

Get to the point!

Bring water and a snack, because it's 4+ miles (one-way) to this cache, and you climb 1100'. You can reach the cache by foot, mountain bike, or by horse (NO motorized vehicles). The cache is located in Lone Mountain State Forest, a 3600 acre woodlands. We got perimission to hide this cache from the forest ranger.

You'll find picnic tables and a nice view at the cache site. The terrain above the cache has a good view of the GPS satellites, including the WAAS bird, so if your GPS provides WAAS corrections, the cache coordinates should put you right on top of it!

There are several trails to the cache, originating from different trail heads. Visit Lone Mountain trails page to learn more. Also while you are in the area, drive to nearby Potters Falls.
