This is my first cache. It is located near a subdivision that is
under construction. The two photos show the exact location and the
actual waypoint data off the GPS. The container is a green plastic
bowl with a white opaque lid. It is wrapped in black plastic and
hanging inside the stump in the photo. There is a piece of wood
laid over it to make it a little less visible. Please reposition
and hide as found.
There are a lot of little treasures to be found - please take
and leave something behind. The log book is there to fill in as
well. Hawk 2 will go in place in another month or two - better
goodies and a more severe location. Let me know if you find it - by
logging your find here. The better your GPS the easier it will be
to find as the tree cover comes back - very heavy in the summer
time. If you need a bit of help try the -spoiler- for a compass
bearing from the center of a Cul de Sac.
WELL IT'S HAPPENED! Progress has
spread faster than I had anticipated. Due to the construction of
new homes in the area of Hawk 1 ... it is necessary for me to
remove the stash. OFFICIALLY as of Monday, 12-March-01 Hawk 1 is
defunked. I will however establish Hawk3 in the next couple of
weeks ... I will use the contents of Hawk1 as well as additional
goodies to establish the cache. Thanks for the folks that made the
trip to locate my first stash ... it's been fun watching the
changes in the contents and reading the comments.
