February 8 by RowanKP (1005 found) [;D] HURRAH! #1000 This cache was my milestone #1000 find and the 2nd year anniversary of my starting to geocache. I got interested in this cache after researching the oldest caches out there. I knew the .26 mile distance from the car could be a bit optimistic - I had a leisure 25 minute walk to get there. Thanks for the guideline to wait for a downward approach - otherwise, I would have instinctively charged up that crazy slope. The cache looked great - the container and contents were clean and dry. Thanks for maintaining this fine old cache placement. I left a Wisconsin 2007 geocoin that I found up in California. SL-TN! February 5 by Jennifer&Dean (3841 found) Nice hike! Deans pedometer tracked it as 1.80 miles round trip. We kept losing gps coverage and at one point our gps was pointing downhill and 39 ft... But with 190 ft accuracy! We searched for a few minutes and then continued up the trail to the next place the gps settled down at... And found the cache shortly thereafter. We traded a wristband for the greotrail thing, left a pathtag and a TB. Then it was back to the rental and on to the next caches! Thanks for keeping this one around, we love finding the old ones!! January 31 by M.S. thebrain and Pinky (3421 found) Last full day on the Island so I ventured up here took the bus to the bottom of Aiea Heights drive then walked all the way up and around the park.Well worth the effort to find this cache Thanks View This Log Waiting for a plane my Feet are sore GC23 view on the way to GC23
