Make-Me-More-Multi Cache Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of Make-Me-More_Multi Cache to find out about the status of this cache on August 31, 2009. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page places it through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

Originally published as a single stage cache in September of 2002, the Make Me More concept produced as many as eleven active stages before settling down to its current format. It is now a 10-stage multi tour of the City of Worcester.

History:

The original concept required each cacher logging a find to add a new stage somewhere else in Worcester. In fact, a find could not officially be logged by anyone who did not also add a stage. Considering all the hard work involved by those who participated in adding each stage, the concept was modified in May of 2006 and this cache is now a 10-stage multi with no additional stages planned. Cachers may now log a find without adding new stages.

Over the life of this cache there were many stages added by various people, so the current stages do not reflect the work of all who participated. The cache had been reset a couple of times and some stages went missing.

The recap below provides complete information about the current tour including: when each stage was hidden and who hid it; distance and optimal travel time from stage to stage; and optimal find time involved in getting to and from each micro from the various parking areas.

"Par" for the entire tour, from start to finish, is just over three hours (3:05) with the help of the clues. In several cases, there were no hints provided when these stages were placed, so the addition of help should make the tour easier for those who visit now.

Container replacements and other recent modifications, combined with additional information provided here should prevent prolonged searching. Nevertheless, difficulty in finding one or more of the micros and/or inefficient traveling through the city could result in a total time of up to four hours or more.

The 10-Stage Tour:

Stage 1: hidden by Pantaliamon and Blackstone Val on July 2, 2003
Container description: (small, camo-taped tupperware)
Travel time (n/a)
Find time (10 minutes)

A mistaken choice may put you real close, but on the wrong side of a fence.

Stage 2: hidden by Feathers on July 16, 2003
Container description: (small, camo-taped tupperware)
4.0 miles from Stage 1
Travel time (15 minutes)
Find time (15 minutes)

There is a direct route to this stage so travel time is minimal. This is the most scenic spot of the tour for sure and you can literally park within 100 feet of the cache. A slightly more distant parking spot may be easier to find.

Stage 3: hidden by McDyver on August 13, 2003
Container description: (small camo-taped, screw-top container)
2.5 miles from Stage 2
Travel time (10 minutes)
Find time (10 minutes)

Another good spot for the tour. The orignal spot was muggled and close to a nearby cache, so a replacement was placed in/by a tree at the opposite end of the park.

Stage 4: hidden by Blackstone Val on July 15, 2004
Container description: (small, camo-taped tupperware)
0.532 miles from Stage 3
Travel time (5 minutes)
Find time (10 minutes)

You will be well rewarded if you carefully examine near an obvious distinguishing marker. This stage was moved on April 27, 2007, less than ten feet to what will hopefully be a more secure spot.

Stage 5: hidden by Trail Buzzards on July 16, 2004
Container description: (camo-taped, screw-top pill container)
1.65 miles from Stage 4
Travel time (5 minutes)
Find time (10 minutes)

Coordinates may be a bit off on this one, but hint will narrow it down.

Stage 6: hidden by g-o-cachers on July 22, 2004
Container description: (camo-taped, screw-top pill container)
0.60 miles from Stage 5
Travel time (5 minutes)
Find time (10 minutes)

Location not visible from trail, but is not far away.

Stage 7: hidden by Dosidio on December 7, 2004
Container description: (camo-taped, screw-top pill container)
0.17 miles from Stage 6
Travel time (5 minutes)
Find time (10 minutes)

A short walk from Stage 6.

Stage 8: hidden by Hotwcnyy on April 18, 2005
Container description: (small, round, camo covered tupperware)
3.01 miles from Stage 7
Travel time (15 minutes)
Find time (10 minutes)

Micro has been moved a short distance from its original spot. You can park within a few hundred feet of this one and enjoy a lakeside view while searching. Jesse James and Butch Cassidy frequented a spot with a name that is consistent with this hide, in fact a gang was named after it.

Stage 9: hidden by Debanddan on July 29, 2005
Container description: (small, round, camo covered tupperware)
1.85 miles from Stage 8
Travel time (10 minutes)
Find time (10 minutes)

Another quick park and grab in a nice old Worcester park. You can get your car within about 150 feet.

Stage 10 (formerly Stage 11): hidden by Geoboyz on September 13, 2005
Container description: (3" x 5" tupperware)
1.3 miles from Stage 9
Travel time (10 minutes)
Find time (10 minutes)

This is the end of the line and after so much work to get to this point, you should enjoy a very quick find. The challenge here may be in finding the best parking spot. There are two places that will put you within 100 feet or so.
