Geocache Description:

Lyra's Lair 1A is a replacement cache for Lyra's Lair 1, which apparently was plundered due to my inadvertently placing it, without noticing at the time it was hidden, in full view of the back window in someone's house.

This cache is located in the same park as the original, namely the J. Frank Wilson Memorial Park in Martinsville, Virginia. This is a small community park, but does not have a parking area. Best parking is on Church Street Extension at roughly N36°41.209 / W079°51.611.

This being a small park, there's not much of a walk to the cache site. While you're there, be sure to visit Lyra's Micro 1 which is located nearby. For details, see the cache page at (visit link)

Cache is a white-topped Tupperware container, the original contents of which are:

Koosh Ball
Wrist Key Chain
Bubbles
2 Carabiner Key Chains (non-load bearing)
"Stick On" Quartz Clock
6-in-1 Screwdriver
"@" Symbol paper clips
Log Book and Pen
Disposable Camera (please take a picture and leave it)

When you take a picture, please note the picture number in the log book so that I can match your name with your photo when it's developed. Photos will be posted here when it's through.

Please note that this cache is located in a fairly heavily traveled portion of the park, so please be discreet when hunting and replacing. I've already lost one in this park. Park hours are one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset.

WARNING: Hint is a DEFINITE spoiler!

Additional Hints (Encrypt)

As you enter the park from the main entrance, go past picnic shelter 2 (there's a sign on the shelter) and across the bridge over the creek. To your right, there's a rather large tree root from a fallen tree sticking straight up in the air. Directly up the hill from that, and across the creek, there's a fallen log about ten feet long lying more or less straight downhill. The cache is located under some logs and leaves about mid-way down the log.
