This Cache is located at Audubon Spring Creek Prairie near Denton, Nebraska. It is placed with the help and permission of Audubon Nebraska, which owns and operates the prairie. They ask that you sign in at the visitor center before seeking the cache, so please do so! Information about Spring Creek Prairie and directions for getting there are available at:

IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PRAIRIE IS OPEN DURING LIMITED HOURS: These hours are Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm year round. The Prairie is also open on Sundays from 1pm to either 8pm or sunset during the spring and fall. Please check the aububon site or with the Prairie staff for spring and fall hours.
ALSO IMPORTANT: Spring Creek Prairie has started charging an entrance fee of $4 for adults and $3 for seniors, children, and students. Entrance is free on Tuesdays for those who would like to avoid the park fee. There is also free entrance for member of Spring Creek Prairie (I'm guessing this would include Wachiska Audubon Members) and a discount for National Audubon Members.
Spring Creek Prairie has several miles of walking trails, multiple ponds, and areas of both trees and tallgrass prairie. There are also ruts from a cut-off to the Oregon trail on the property. There are some picnic tables, a visitor center, and restrooms available.
The cache is a standard dark green ammo box.
This is a theme cache with a nature/birding/wildlife theme. So, if possible, try to stick to the theme when leaving items in the cache. If you have a non-theme related signature item that you always leave or just can't come up with something related to the theme that is ok. Feel free to bring your binoculars and write down in the log the birds and wildlife that you see!
I have loaded the cache up with some really nice prizes to start it off. All of the items are new and there are things for both children and adults. So bring the family and enjoy the prairie! I will also restock the cache with some nice items from time to time.
