The Hatchet Creek Cache Traditional Cache
the federation: Looks as though this cache has outlived it's usefulness the Hatchet Creek has become the Hatchet River. After the cache was reported missing I went by to check today but still cannot get to the cache. I will archive for now and reapply to SJRWMD as well for another placement.

This cache is the birthplace of the first Florida Swamp Elephant. Her name is Ellie the Elephant and she is in the cache she has a Travel bug tag attached and you can visit her tbug page to see where she wants to go. The cache is very well concealed but the wildlife is not as we were placing the cache we came across 3 wild turkeys and a bald eagle in the preserve. The hike is quite easy but could be wet if the water is high. You otter know you are on the right trail when you can see all the knees. Over the river and through the woods. The cache is in a medium size ammo can and contains many of ellies friends to include:
Gekki the Lizard, Dimitri the Dinosaur, Brown Bear, Tyra the Three Horned Dinosaur, Lambchops the Talking Lamb, Hammie the Hammerhead Shark and other famous characters. PLease bring like items to trade.
