The Deer..... is a rather aloof and swift animal.
I am told this area is alive with the flighty little creatures, but don't expect to see them except very fleetingly. Along the way you will see their tracks however, as well as numerous other creature's paw/hoof/belly/claw prints.
The distant city views will remind you that your'e not so far from the urban jungle, but soon you will be looking off the beaten track and in the scrub. The whole area is fire affected so be prepared to have your clothes blackened by the time you leave.
Usual summer warnings....snakes....spiders...tics...bushfires etc.
