Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

This is the last of four caches hidden inside the Mt Carmel Conservancy.
Take the Rosehaugh turn-off in the vicinity of the Crocodile Country Inn - Nelsprui. Follow the dirt road until you get to the signpost for the Conservancy. Your GPS may mislead you into believing the cache is nearby, but unfortunately there is a round route to getting there.

This is the furtherest cache on this road - but well worth the travel.

The road is not recommended with a normal car - Rather use a bakkie or 4x4 (not bad, just bumpy in sections). The road may be slightly slippery in the rainy season.

The cache contains all the normal goodies & we suggest you pack in sundowners to enjoy at this point. Have a look at the listing for "Mt Carmel - Broken but not Beaten" for the interesting story leading up to this cache hide.

Our # 737, found @ 15h05. Wow! it was an interesting journey (a long and winding road). The view from up at the high point is phenomenal. It was like being on top of the world!. The cache container is damaged (a hole in the bottom) but the contents were still safe and dry despite the recent rains. We did not have a replacement container but we did put the container in a plastic bag to try and protect it from the elements.
Took: Frog and wildvine
Left: Pterodactyl and spider

We met a large watering truck on the way out but it was no problem getting past it.

What great views. I sat down and had a cold one while watching a Longcrested Eagle (Langkuifarend) sweeping the skies. The kids and I really enjoyed the day. The road isn't that bad and can be conquered by a 2x4 with hi ground clearance.
There's a hole in the container and the plastic bag is no good anymore and I removed it. Unfortunately I didn't had a replacement or repair tools so I placed it back with as much cover from the rain as I could. Hope it will work.
Took : Woody & Cellphone
Left : MiniCooper Super Trump Card & Spinner.
TFTC.
