This is one of a series of caches hidden in the Mt Carmel
Conservancy.
Take the Rosehaugh turnoff in the vicinity of the Crocodile Country
Inn - Nelspruit. The dirt road will lead you to the Mt Carmel
Conservancy. The co-ords are taken from the road next to where the
cache is hidden.
If you look alongside the road as you drive along, you will see
a series of mine shafts from days gone by.
The cache is hidden at the biggest of all these mine shafts - we
have not explored inside the mine shaft as it seems old and fragile
inside (dangerous)- therefor the cache is hidden right at the
entrance to the shaft. What is really interesting is seeing the
supports they used to prevent the walls from collapsing.
Have a look at the listing for Mt Carmel - Broken but not Beaten
for the interesting story leading up to this cache
hide.
