This is the third of 8 caches in this series

We have put together a series of seven complete caches, where each of the caches represents a colour. Each of the seven caches will also contain a bonus word which will be used to solve the eighth and last puzzle to get to the final cache.

Colour is an integral part of our lives! The clothes we wear, the colour of our houses and cars. It is even represented in the elements of nature that surround us. How happy are we when we peek out the curtains and find a beautiful blue sky shining back at us, but how about if its grey and overcast?? It automatically puts a damper on our mood causing us to act in a different way.

A shiny red sports car oozes speed and excitement or danger and irresponsibility, depending on how we as individuals view the colour. Had it been a white sports car, it would surely be viewed in a different light.

Just as a bright yellow sunflower is indicative of Spring, so too are the beautiful brown colours of the Autumn leaves falling to the ground.

We have placed the various caches near places where you can enjoy the influence of colour. You will not have to participate in the various activities, but you will be able to see them and appreciate the colour factor. Enjoy!

Here's hoping you enjoy these caches as much as we did putting them together. Please try to place an item of the colour represented in the name of the cache back into the cache.

YELLOW

It is a warm colour that can stimulate the nervous system and affects the mind and emotions. Yellow can help with mood elevation and alleviates exhaustion and burnout. Increases intelligence, joy and organizational skills. Representative of Springtime. Dissipates fear, increases vitality and fosters spiritual growth. Can cause exhaustion because of too much mental activity.

The cache is located near "The Ring".. I suggest you make a half day at least of this cache.

The Ring is a quaint place where you can stay the night in an Ox Wagon, and for those who prefer to just visit they make the most awesome Potjie and Bread (fresh) and the prices are really reasonably..

There are lots of goodies in the cache..

There is path around the back of the place with white animal footprints that you need to follow. This path is a circular 3km route and the cache is not far off the path.

PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE UP THE STEEP DRIVEWAYS AS THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY - You may walk here though along the demarcated route

NB: Due to a slight altercation with one cacher please note : All the walkers must obtain a slip from reception at The Ring Oxwagon Lodge. They should leave their cars at The Ring and walk up from here. The slip can be produced, if asked, to show that you/the walker did register with us first, and then no problems or misunderstandings

[#951] @14:00

Despite the strong temptation to simply walk up the hill to the cache, I followed the footpath (as part of a mapping project on openstreetmap.org), which took me to the cache anyway. In the cache-side of the little ridge, the wind was blocked by the mountain - amazing what difference in the RealFeel temperature a little breeze makes...

Our # 692, found @ 12h25. We requested a hiking permit at the Reception at the Ring. They were very helpful and obliging and once we had the permit in hand we were offered Guides for the hike. Despite our claim that it was not necessary, we were met at the start of the trail by 2 guides. A Border Collie and a Jack Russel terrier. They enjoyed the hike as much as we did and handed us over to a return escort (2 Labradors & 2 Great Danes) after we had retrieved and replaced the cache. It was an enjoyable hike with stunning views despite some fairly steep climbs. We found the cache safe and sound and well hidden, without too much difficulty. After our return to the Ring we met up with the owner who remembered us from the Sp"Ring" bash a few years ago and had a beer, a chat and "cool off" in the shade. We did not see the MicroCoin trackable mentioned on the listing but we might have missed it.

Ek stem saam - die koördinate is ietwat uit. Was dit nie vir Lord Drinian se koördinate nie sou ek dit nie gevind het nie. Ek het langs die pad twee vriendelike honde as metgeselle opgetel.
