March 29, 2009 by Goofster (517 found) I last visited the dam in 2000, so it was quite fun to be back here again after such a long time. Cache was found easily, after which my friend Hannes and I enjoyed a quick picnic lunch on the shores of the dam. It was a bit too windy to linger, but we were treated to an aerial display by the air force, probably related to the Navy festival. We could also hear the firing of the guns at routine intervals. Took nothing, but left a geocaching wristband in the cache. TFTC.

February 22, 2009 by MnCo (268 found) We approached this one from the wrong side of the dam so after some bundu bashing, found the path and made the find quite quickly. Although the cache is dry, there are signs that it has been wet. One corner of the lid has been chewed through so it is no longer water tight and some bugs had taken up residence. We evicted the bugs and replaced the bag. In: Star Out: Pyrites CubeSLTFTC

February 16, 2009 by farmboy (8 found) Thanks, nice cache spot. I come here often for sundowners, it feels like you are far away from Cape Town.
