Norfolk's Mt. Trashmore
If you're visiting from out of town, be sure to stop by. Mt. Trashmore offers a great venue for the whole family. Don't forget to pack a picnic lunch and bring along your gas powered remote controlled vehicle, as you will most likely meet others with similar interests. Often times you can watch young sea captains practicing their seafaring skills from the banks of the large lake. It is not unusual to see three of four remote controlled sailboats being navigated about the lake. There is also plenty of waterfowl for the kids to enjoy, but no need to bring along any feed as the park prefers the ducks aren't fed. If you decide to visit in the spring or fall, a sky worthy kite is a must and you can also enjoy a great view of the area from atop the "mountain".
