Geocache Description:

Located well off the Natzhez Trace Parkway near Haley Cemetery.

There are two or three ways to attack this ammo can (30 caliber) cache filled with goodies.(Nikon pocket knife, Christmas Music CD, pens, McDonald toys, key chains, camera to record your visit (Do Not take camera, please), log book, T-shirt, etc. If you would like a nice walk through the woods on a parkway trail, park at or close to: N 32 28.176; W090 03.023, otherwise, you are welcome to find other ways to the cache. While searching for the cache, take a few minutes to visit Haley Cemetery and pay your respects to this forgotten family. Some grave sites pre-date the Civil War by many years. At least two of the Haley's were born at the turn of the century in 1806 and 1807, and died several years prior to the War between the States. (I wonder who this family was.) You can also walk to the edge of the Ross Barnett Reservoir, if you like. There is a VERY special item which is NOT in the ammo box. Anyone is welcome to take this special cache gift. We only ask that if you do take it, please email the owner, ArchieDH to let me know it's taken. If you do not care to take it, please cover it back up along with the ammo can for the next GeoCacher. You may also want to see a list of those buried in Haley Cemetery: (visit link) For a listing of cemeteries in Madison county: (visit link)
