I've listed this cache as a multi, because GPS reception is very poor. You'll have to take the route instructions with. The Waterfall is one the best ones in the area, (also off the beaten track) and not to be missed.
From Pilgrim's Rest to Lydenburg, Turn right just after the golf course to Morgenzon Mine. Follow the gravel road to the security gate, where you'll have to leave your car. Obtain a permit from the security, stating you will visit the waterfall.
The walking trail starts at the folowing co-ordinates: S24 52.484 E030 43.467
This is the last reliable reading.

WARNING: The trail will take you over the stream eight times, wear appropriate shoes ! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO THIS CACHE AFTER HEAVY RAINS. TURN AROUND AT THE FIRST CROSSING, IF THE RIVER IS TOO FULL!!
(Usually full in January and February)

Follow the trail which is usually overgrown for the first 50m, to the first river crossing. Here you'll see the first waterfall, known as Cup and saucer. Good place for a swim!
As you look at the waterfall, you see a footpath on the left, going up to the top of the waterfall, this is the only realy dangerous and diffucult part of the trail, especially when the rocks are wet and slippery.
After you jumped over the stream feeding the waterfall, you can follow the trail on the right of the river. about 200m meters further you'll see a small waterfall (barely more than a rapid). You must cross the river above this small waterfall. Follow the hiking trail on the left hand side of the stream, until you come to onther rivercrossing. The route will lead you away from the river to the right hand side, and here you'll see the third waterfall, which is a good place to shower.
Follow the route back to the river and stay on the right, until you see the next place to cross the river. Lots of big ferns can be seen here.
About 25m further, you must cross the river again, and from her you can follow the sound of the fourth and last waterfall. Yes you will have to cross the river once again. I took the GPS reading on the last stone, where I crossed the river, but it is not accurate.
Once you've catched your breath, you can admire one of the most spectacular waterfall and rock formations in the area. You can swim up to the waterfall, and even jump through it, but DO NOT DIVE !
Where you crossed the river, you walked to the right, to see the waterfall, but there is also a small footpath to the left, it will take you to a staircase, which can be climbed out, but I did not do it, so the cache is at the bottom of the staircase.
The cache is a small plastic container with a logbook, pencil and a few small items to trade.

I'm thrilled to see this cache active again - it's one of the very best in SA!!! If you're in the area, this is a "cannot miss it" cache.
