No it's not in Adelaide actually, but north-east of Melbourne
Mt Lofty is located near the Yarra river not far from Lilydale.
This cache is hidden just down from the ridge, near the only large
tree in the area. It's a low flat container with a yellow lid. If
you approach from the east, expect about a 15 minute walk. From the
west it's more like 30 minutes. Great views from here so bring your
camera.

September 20, 2009 by Datruk (210 found) Oh Boy!!!!!!!!What a hike, but worth it. Breathtaking views. Got to GZ and found nothing. GPSr was accurate to 3mts and had been spot on all day. All other caches today were found withing 1mtr radius of GZ. Did a 6 X 6 metre grid search without finding this one. Searched from 1745hrs to 1815hrs with Geodaughter Thanks for the great views

July 19, 2009 by Darkandstormy (332 found) Great views at the end of a hard walk. iPhone took us to GZ but could not find the cache. Some of the logs suggested we were in the right spot and the cache wasn't hidden to well, but thorough searching and attacks from different directions came up empty. The views are worth the walk so we will attempt this one again one day. KeMs

June 30, 2009 by bjtrekker (1273 found) Wanted to make this the first find for the day. It was drizzling slightly when four of us trekked up to Adelaide mountain cache, while Mrs bjtrekker waited in the car. Turned out she was smart one as despite 4 pairs of eyes searching, we couldn't find the cache. Is it still there or was the cache just hiding from us? Thanks for the walk nonetheless.

February 19, 2009 by timbo45 (419 found) I attacked this one directly from the river which was a gutbusting, if brief, climb.

December 14, 2008 by rangie 80 (13 found) Found it easily After working out that the wrong datum in the GPS takes you to a big open paddock with no trees at all. The container's lid had come off and it was competely full of water. I have taken it home and dried it. It should be back in place by 16/12/08. What a great spot for a walk!
