Rocky Mountain High Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Markwell: While this cache had a short life, I've been informed by my cache nannies that there have been problems of nasty buglars in the neighborhood. We agreed that we don't want stray cars of cache hunters to arouse suspicions of the local police. So we've decided to archive this cache and the companion cache: The Giving Tree.

Thanks to all who have found this. I've got another location suggested by my nannies for a new cache in the area when I'm down this summer.

Geocache Description:

Standard Ammo Box Cache, but hidden quite well. It will take a good long search to find the atypical hiding spot for this cache.

When I first went out to place The Giving Tree, I had another location in mind further down the trail. When I had heard that the previous cache might be gone, I grabbed all the essential materials for a second cache. However, after going out to check on The Giving Tree, I found it there, but I still had the yearning to place the other cache, which would be more difficult in terrain as well as difficulty. Rocky Mountain High is located further on the same trail as The Giving Tree, for a slightly more adventurous hike, and a more difficult hide. The parking coordinates are the same for both caches: N35.17408° W085.34133° (note: these are NOT in standard Degree/Decimal Minute format, but in Decimal Degrees). In fact, I would strongly suggest that these caches be done as a pair. Find one, then if you have the time and the energy, find the second one. Markwell Home PageThe neighborhood has been slightly suspicious lately with a few burglaries, so please be courteous to search for this cache during regular day-time hours. Good luck, and thanks to my in-laws (who cache nanny The Giving Tree as well) for being the cache nanny for this cache and my other Signal Mountain cache: Tribute to Cumberland Trail.
