Geocache Description:

This cache is a delightful seven-mile road tour through the pretty north Bucks County countryside. You'll visit three covered bridges. Get a clue at each bridge to determine the coordinates for a conventional cache near the third bridge - the Uhlerstown Covered Bridge. Have fun. Take a camera. Take Fido. Take the kids. Take grandma-this is wheelchair accessible.

See my companion cache tour of the South bridges - Covered Bridge Tour of Bucks County - South. GCB826 and West tour - GCHDPN If you pre-plan, you can do all three tours in an afternoon and avoid double-backing over the same territory. Or you can do each of the three tours separately. Note: Regular bridge is washed-out on Dark Hollow Road across the Tohickon Creek (Tinicum)so you'll have to use another road to "connect" tours. Bridge was to be re-opened April 1, 2004. Would the next person who finds it opened please confirm in your log? Tks.

If you enjoy tours like this one, check out my other covered bridge caches.

COVERED BRIDGE - REFLECTIONS

Abandoned above the coursing stream
Whose currents race so heedless by
Between high banks where granite boulders gleam.
Recalling the flowing years that fly,
The quickly fading then, the urgent now,
A corridor of memories that you endow
In muted shapes, where arching timbers rot
Half hidden and with shaded trusses blurred.
Footsteps muffled to my waiting ears
By dust laid deep on oaken planks now stirred
To echo thoughts long buried with the years.
Within your shadows sparked by errant beams
I walk again to find abandoned dreams.
