Geocache Description:

Valley Forge National Historical Park is full of monuments. This one, however, seems to have slipped out of the public eye. It's not on any park map that I've seen. For credit, please email TeamCNJC (using the owner link above) a brief description of what you found here.

The virtual geocache is located just off the multi-use trail, about 1/4 mile from the Wayne's Woods parking area. How many bikers, joggers, and walkers have passed by, and how many of them took note?

It is not necessary to enter the "closed" area of Wayne's Woods. As always, please don't post spoilers in your log entry, even if encrypted, and do not post any pictures with spoilers.

Be sure to stop at the Welcome Center for more information about this historical area and the winter encampment of 1777-1778. Also, visit the NPS website for information, including maps and an interactive muster of men who were part of the encampment.

This is NOT the monument visible from the road. You will have to get out of your car for this one.
