This cache has been archived.

MsDelilah: Unfortunately there has been no response from the cache owner regarding this geocache, and sadly I am forced to archive it at this time. If at some point in the near future the cache is determined to still be present or is replaced, please e-mail me via the link on my profile page. If it still meets the current guidelines, we can discuss unarchiving it at that time.

Thank you,

Geocache Description:

The Second Part of a Two Part Series

Epicenter

There was an earthquake and your boss wants to know where the epicenter was. The good news is that you have two working seismographs. The bad news is, the third one is broken and needs repaired. This narrows down the location of the epicenter to two locations. You could figure this out by brute force and check out both locations, but that's a waste of government money; Especially if you guess wrong. Your boss would be all to happy to point out that fixing the third seismograph falls under your job description and that if you did you would have the data you need.

The first station is at, Justice Park. According to your data the epicenter is located 10.1 miles (16,179.73m) away from the station.

The second station is at the Portneuf River. This one places the epicenter at 11.3 miles (18,244.04m) away from the station.

The third station is called appropriately enough, Seismograph Station. Too bad it's broke. Maybe you should fix it.

This cache can be solved via brute force. There is enough information here to narrow it down to two locations. You have the option to check both. With the other cache, you can determine which of the two locations is correct. The cache itself is a 5 gallon bucket and is an easy find if you are nearby. It is clearly marked and visible the right location. Initial contents include a hotplate, some Harry Potter T-Shirts for smaller kids. The shirts are new and still have the tags. There is some kind of caulender, and a trailer wiring harness for an 88 style GM truck. IMPORTANT: The coordinates are roughly the midpoint between the two possible locations. You actually will need to do the work prior to finding this one.
