Geocache Description:

A Theme Cache hidden along the scenic and rugged Good Water Trail at Lake Georgetown.

This cache is a TEST! It is designed to test and measure your ingenuity and imagination. The theme is to swap objects that are used for making measurements. The initial cache contents contain many obvious items such as various rulers and gauges as well as some stuff that stretches the definition of measurement to the limits! One example is a baseball for those "ballpark estimates". Sure, you could swap measurement devices that need no explanation, but the challenge here is to swap with items that are not obviously intended for use as measurement devices! Check the first note for a list of some of this cache's "unique" measurement tools. When you log this cache, make sure you share with the rest of us the reasons you think your item qualifies as the ultimate measurement device. For this test, the more insane, demented, lunatic, maniacal, or just plain crazy the better! The cache container is a 6X10 plasticware container, well camouflaged and well very well hidden. This segment of the Good Water Trail starts at Russell Park. There are two sets of gates at the park. The first or outer gates are open from sunrise to dusk year round. Plan your hunt accordingly or risk being stranded! There is a separate parking lot just for the hiking trail. The second set of gates are for the pay area of Russell Park (swimming, boat docks, etc). The trail head is between the two gates. No entrance fee is needed. Dogs are allowed. Trail Bikes are not allowed, but you'll see them on the trail anyway. This section of trail is well marked and for the most part level. There are rocks on the trail that you will have to step on, over, or around. The total round trip hike is only about 1/2 mile. If you want a longer hike, the alternate trail head is in Cedar Breaks Park which would make the round trip about 32 miles! The cache is within 50 feet of the trail and some rock scrambling is required.
