Located in the Redwood Park area, Oakland hills. Park near the
Sequoia Bay View Trail head. There are multiple trails to get to
this cache but they seem fairly easy with some inclines. The
elevation at the site is 1180 ft. No bushwacking necessary.
Continue along the roadway to visit the Chabot Space & Science
Center Observatory. You can see Einstein's telescope there.

February 7 by Dalvey (99 found) I think this must be one of the oldest caches I've yet found. In a nice spot, yet from reading the logs, at least one non-geocacher came upon it by accident during these last 9.5 years (and was kind enough to write a note but not run off with the whole thing...).

January 8 by ladypilot (204 found) Found with new cacher G2. I would rate this a little more than 1 1/2 stars difficulty because of the tree cover-- I'd call it at least a 2 1/2. If we hadn't paid attention to the elevation I think we would have spent a long time digging around in the ravine. In fact, the first time I looked for this cache several years back that's exactly what happened. So, it was lovely to make the find. I swapped the gorgeous geocoin I found there for a postcard from Kamchatka, Russia.
