Made the run up here with Fried Okra for this historic find today. A very intersting area of terrain features. Glad you have kept this one going for so long.

A few years back when I was living in Florida, I found myself on a business trip where it would be possible for me to visit Mingo. I made sure that I built enough time in that trip to do that, and I made the necessary pilgrimage to that cache. Sometime later I noticed that Kansas Stasher still had one more active cache, and I thought that it would be fun to find that one as well. Today (on my birthday) I took the day off and embarked on a road trip from Colorado Springs and ventured to this cache and others in the area. While Mingo is a great cache to find for historical reasons, Arikaree is by far my favorite cache of the two. I love being led well off the beaten path to find this very scenic corner of Kansas, and the winter landscape with its yellow and brown colors was stunning. I took some pictures and I'll post them, but I hardly think that they'll do justice to my experience there today. Thanks for luring me way out here to this great location.

I finally was driving through this area so I could get this cache. I have been wanting this one for a long time. The view around this cache is out of this world.
Thanks for placing.
