This cache must be done at
night so you'll need to bring a flashlight with
you. I strongly recommend wearing safety glasses while
walking in the woods at night. Use your compass or take
a waypoint before you leave your car to aid in finding your
way back, it's not hard to become disoriented at
night. During the summer you can park by the gate
directly across route 50 from Perry road but when there is
snow on the ground I'd suggest parking on the end of Perry
road across from the gate.
Hunting is allowed in this
preserve so I'd suggest not hunting this cache between the middle
of October to the middle of December. Besides the obvious
danger of sharing the woods with hunters you might have to explain
to the game warden why you are wandering around in the woods at
night with a flashlight during hunting season.
Before going to the cache go to N43
06.488 W073 43.921 and find this tree. Stand next to
the tree and shine your flashlight around, now isn't that just
amazing, who'd a thunked it. Comments are welcome but don't
put in your log what you saw, even encrypted. Remember what
you see and now you are ready to go find the
cache.
